Solution Architect Lead

Job Description & Responsibilities

Legacy System Optimization.

• Analyze and optimize existing monolithic/SOA systems with heavy database-driven logic.
• Improve maintainability and performance of legacy codebases.
• Guide teams on safe and efficient enhancements to production systems.

AI Enablement & Engineering Productivity.

• Drive adoption of AI coding tools across engineering teams.
• Train developers on effective and secure use of AI tools for debugging, development, and optimization.
• Establish guardrails and best practices for AI-assisted development.

Architecture Modernization.

• Support transition from legacy architecture to .NET Core, Angular, and microservices-based systems.
• Define patterns for moving business logic from database-heavy designs to service-based architecture.
• Align with ongoing solution re-write initiatives and future architecture roadmap.

Data & Performance Engineering.

• Optimize database performance across SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB.
• Improve query efficiency, indexing strategies, and data access patterns.
• Address performance challenges in real-time systems with high transaction volumes.

Production Architecture & Stability.

• Own and continuously improve production system architecture across applications, APIs, and databases.
• Monitor system performance and proactively identify architectural bottlenecks.
• Ensure high availability and SLA adherence for high-volume airline systems.

Troubleshooting & Incident Management.

• Lead deep-dive troubleshooting across IIS, ASP.NET, .NET Framework, APIs, and database layers.
• Address issues related to performance, memory, threading, and application pool behavior.
• Collaborate with Dev, QA, and IT teams during production incidents and post-release stabilization.

Technical Leadership & Collaboration.

• Act as a bridge between architecture, development, QA, and IT operations.
• Provide hands-on guidance, code reviews, and design recommendations.
• Mentor engineers and leads to improve troubleshooting and system design capabilities.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.

Certifications

• Knowledge of On-Premise.
• Knowledge of AI coding Tools.
• Knowledge of ASP.NET and .NET Framework (mandatory).
• Knowledge of.NET Core / ASP.NET Core.
• Knowledge of Angular (SPA development).
• Knowledge of SQL Serve.
• Knowledge of PostgreSQL and MongoDB.
• Knowledge of Data Lake Architectures.
• Knowledge of Data pipelines, ETL processes, and integration with analytics or AI/ML systems.
• Knowledge of Troubleshooting and Debugging.
• Knowledge of Performance Optimization and System Tuning.
• Knowledge of API Development and Integration (REST/JSON).
• nowledge of Driven Architecture (Kafka or Similar).
• Knowledge of Monitoring Tools (Datadog, ELK, OpManager).

Work Experience

• 08–12 years of experience in Software Engineering with strong production exposure.
• Experience in Airlines or travel domain is a plus.

Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
• 8–12 years of experience in software engineering with strong production exposure.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to interact with technical and business stakeholders.
• Experience working with high-volume real-time systems.
• Exposure to on-premise or hybrid hosting environments.
• Experience with AI coding tools (GitHub Copilot/Cursor/Claude or similar) and team enablement.
• Experience in airline cargo domain is a plus.

Strong hands-on experience with:

• ASP.NET and .NET Framework (mandatory).
• .NET Core / ASP.NET Core.
• Angular (SPA development).

Strong experience with databases:

• SQL Server (performance tuning, indexing, query optimization).
• Exposure to PostgreSQL and MongoDB.
• Experience working with Data Lake architectures (e.g., MinIO, Azure Data Lake, or similar object storage systems) for large-scale data storage, ingestion, and processing.
• Understanding of data pipelines, ETL processes, and integration with analytics or AI/ML systems.

Proven experience in:

• Production troubleshooting and debugging.
• Performance optimization and system tuning.
• API development and integration (REST/JSON).

Familiarity with:

• Event-driven architecture (Kafka or similar).
• Monitoring tools (Datadog, ELK, OpManager).
